From ESU, the route takes the N1 road north. The carriageway is clear, with no complex junction: allow about 20 minutes in normal conditions. Essaouira appears on the horizon with its white ramparts and the towers of the Skala.

Leaving Essaouira-Mogador airport, the N1 road heads due north. After about 15 km of coastal road through the argan groves, you enter the suburban area of Essaouira.
